Virtual Expo
Discover how assistive technology (AT) supports everyday life with this year’s virtual expo theme, AT Everywhere: Supporting Independence in Every Environment. AT can be used in many ways, from working and learning to staying connected, managing daily tasks, and living independently at home or in rural communities.
The virtual expo will feature four sessions highlighting how AT can support various aspects of daily life. Each session will include real-life examples from our experience as AT Specialists serving communities across Alaska.
Agriculture & Rural Living: Dig into AT that supports safety, accessibility, and independence in rural environments, including gardening, homesteading, and outdoor work. Explore a range of solutions, from simple adaptations to emerging tools, shared through real-life examples from across Alaska.
Work, Learning & Productivity: Get organized and stay on track with AT that supports communication, reading and writing, and managing tasks across work and learning environments. Explore a range of solutions, including new and noteworthy AI tools for learning and productivity.
Communication & Connection: Stay connected your way using AT that supports communication across different needs and preferences at home, work, and in the community. Explore a range of solutions, from low-tech options to high-tech tools that support meaningful connection.
Daily Living & Aging in Place: Make everyday tasks easier with AT that supports independence at home, from completing daily routines to maintaining safety over time. Explore a range of solutions, including how smart home technology can support comfort, safety, and independence.
The Virtual Expo is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
